Dr Jeremy Woodward MA MB BChir PhD FRCP


  • Jeremy Woodward was educated at Eltham College in South London.

      • He was awarded a scholarship to read Medicine at Christ's College, Cambridge from where he graduated in 1987 with a First Class honours degree.

          • He completed clinical studies at St Thomas' Hospital in London where he was awarded a Clinical Scholarship. He graduated with distinctions in Medicine and Pathology, and prizes in Medicine, Paediatrics, Preventive Medicine, Morbid Anatomy, Obstetrics and gynaecology, Immunology and Pathology.

              • Following junior hospital doctor posts in London, he undertook specialist gastroenterology training on the West Midlands rotation under the mentorship of Dr Robert Allan.

                  • As a registrar in gastroenterology, Jeremy developed interests in clinical nutrition support and intestinal immunology and took time out of clinical training to complete a PhD thesis in intestinal lymphocyte development in the thymic biology laboratory of Dr John Owen, FRS.

                      • In 2002, following accreditation in gastroenterology and general medicine, Jeremy was appointed Consultant Physician and Gastroenterologist at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.
